Understanding risk in safety and health means that it is a chance or probability that an individual or group of people will be harmed or experience an adverse health effect if exposed to a hazard. Hazard Identification and Control introduce learners to the practicality side of risk management which includes understanding risk by total vulnerabilities. By going through this module, learners will be able to proactively identify hazards, systematically analyse hazards and finally continuously control hazards in the best possible way.

  • Hierarchy Of Control – Definition, consideration, principle of control, hierarchy of control
  • IMPORTANT Things about HIRARC

4. LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Appreciate and explore the elements of effective hazards identification and control program.
  • Develop and implement total risk management program in ensuring a safe & healthy workplace both for employer and employee.
