1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This OSHMS course is an introductory program designed to help delegates understand how they can achieve operational excellence and better meet stakeholder expectations through the OHSAS 18001 standard. Providing a step-by-step overview of how an OHSAS 18001-based management system should be implemented, the course readies participants to introduce such a system in their organization. This knowledge can be gained by attending OHSMS Overview Course which is designed to provide this level of information.
The OHSMS overview course will be conducted in the first day. The consecutive two days course will provide the knowledge and skills required for delegates to carry out audits of an OHSMS in order to identify both compliance with the relevant standards and potential for performance improvement. It is designed for existing Management System auditors who need to broaden their capability, or for delegates who have no previous experience in auditing but are familiar with the requirements of these standards. The course takes delegates through the integrated audit process, from the development of the audit schedule through to its follow up and closeout.
2. TARGET GROUP
This course is essential for those who will undertake internal health and safety management system audits, or who will be required to plan, manage and implement an internal audit program. The course does not require any past auditing or health and safety management experience.

4. LEARNING OUTCOMES
This course, combined with an OH&SMS Foundation Course, satisfies the formal training requirement for those wishing to register with the IRCA as an Internal OH&SMS Auditor. Successful delegates will be equipped with the technical skills and knowledge required to plan, conduct and report internal health and safety effectively. This course satisfies the formal training requirements for those wishing to register with the IRCA as an Internal Health and Safety Auditor.
