Strengthening HACCP Audit Competency For The Final Year Students Of Bachelor Food Science & Technology at Universiti Sains Malaysia Penang.

On 5 & 6 November 2025, PHEIO Management Sdn Bhd had the pleasure of delivering a two-day HACCP Internal Audit Training at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang — led by Puan Amirah Emran.

This hands-on session was designed to empower participants with the knowledge and tools to plan, execute, and report internal audits effectively within their food safety systems. From audit principles to NCR writing, the training emphasized internal audits as a cornerstone of continuous improvement and HACCP assurance.

• Non-conformance reporting (NCR)
• Corrective actions & follow-up

We commend USM for its proactive commitment to enhance the skill and knowledge of  food safety audit to their Food Technology students, preparing them to meet industry expectations. Exposure to internal audit builds student confidence in evaluating and improving food safety program, preparing them for roles in QA compliance, RA and auditing.
