Food Handling Training at Botanic Garden Kopitiam.

Training conducted on 12th August 2025, by Nur Aina Izzati & assisted by Najihah Mohamad.

This Food Handling Training was specially organized to ensure that all food handlers at Botanic Garden Kopitiam are well-equipped with the essential knowledge and best practices to maintain hygiene, prevent foodborne illnesses, and comply with Malaysian Food Hygiene Regulations 2009 and MOH requirements.

The training focused on practical, day-to-day applications of food safety principles in a food service environment, ensuring safe food preparation, handling, and storage from kitchen to customer.

Key highlights:
1. Personal hygiene and responsibilities of a food handler
2. Safe food storage and temperature control
3. Preventing cross-contamination
4. Cleaning and sanitizing procedures
5. Pest control basics
6. Understanding foodborne illnesses and their prevention

Interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and real-life examples made the training both engaging and informative, reinforcing the importance of food safety in everyday operations.
