1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This course will provide a general overview of the laws, regulations, history and policies that govern food regulation from the perspective of an attorney and food scientist.
Additionally, this course will provide a detailed examination of the major legislation, policies and initiatives in food regulation. This course will include practical applications of the food laws and regulations including regulatory compliance, administrative procedure, products liability litigation, food and colour additive approval, nutritional labelling and analysis. Knowledge, information and experience gained through this course will give the participants a better understanding of the legal issues involved in the regulation of foods and food products in Malaysia.

Supervisors, Managers, Food Safety Team Leaders and Team Members, Hygiene Managers, HACCP Team and those involved in Assurance of Food Safety and Hygiene Management

4. LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of the training, participants shall be able to:
- Become familiar with government regulations that contribute to a safe, nutritious, and wholesome food supply.
- Understand how technological, social and political forces interact in the development of food law and regulation.
- Understand critical national regulatory issues and their impact on food laws
