The main function is to ensure proper flow of goods from producers or suppliers to end customers. In many years, it has been knows as a storage and delivery of goods for profit, but now warehousing has evolved over the years in a way that modern warehouses now fulfill multiple roles within the overall supply chain.  Warehousing Best Practices is an overview of the field of warehousing in terms of structure, management and practices.
